Conjoined twin Abby Hensel married Josh Bowling in 2021 and many social media users have been left with the same question about Brittany.

Abby and Brittany have been open about what it’s like living as conjoined twins ever since the age of six when they first appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996.

The pair have gone on to share their experiences studying, travelling from the US to Europe and being open about how they navigate their romantic relationships, alongside sharing an insight into the moment Abby wed Josh two years ago.

While the ceremony was kept out of the public eye, the pair shared images from the special day in a post to TikTok, showing Abby and Brittany together in a wedding dress alongside Josh.

And the pair also shared footage from the big day to their TikTok account, the trio dancing to Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’.

However, the wedding and subsequent sharing of footage has sparked a few questions from curious social media users about the logistics of the marriage and

specifically whether Josh is just married to Abby or technically Brittany too.

Writing on social media, one person wrote: “How does this unfold legally? Since they are two people married to one man, who is on the marriage certificate?”

Another user responded as they added: “Ngl, for some reason, I was expecting there to be two guys.

“Having only the one guy makes it more confusing. What if they fight? What if one h/w set wants to divorce and the other doesn’t?”

“One of the many, many, maaaany questions I have,” said a third.

A fourth suggested: “One of the twins will be the legal spouse as far as the state is concerned. So it is theoretically possible that the other twin could someday decide to marry a different person. But given the way they have had to harmonize their entire lives, I imagine they would find it easier to stick to being married to just one person.”

While the pair haven’t commented on the technicalities of their marriage, in the very first episode of their TLC reality show, they said, as quoted by ABC News: “People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons. But our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do.

“[…] When it comes to decisions, there are compromises we have to make. We take turns. We want to work it so each of us is happy and we find a happy medium.”
